Plastic use is so pervasive in our every day life it can be hard to know where to start to break the addiction. Plastic Free July is a excellent time to get in on the act and start making some small steps, or challenge yourself, your class and your colleagues to go bit further.
PlasticFree July is a great opportunity to put the spotlight on waste in your schools, and tailor-make your own class, house and even staff challenge or event. There are lots of ideas here: http://www.plasticfreejuly.org
Use the Zero Waste theme area to run some fun activities like: Bury it and dig it up; Waste in a lunchbox; Transformers; Where does our waste go? Refuse to create refuse; or undertake a Waste or Litter Audit.
